Lesson 2 – When to use Video in your courses
Videos are especially effective where there is a process involving several steps or a decision tree to follow. This is where a step by step explanation is extremely helpful for clarification. Videos can include examples and students can re-watch videos time and time again to gain clarity, understanding and memorization.
Videos can be created in many different forms. There is the blackboard style of instructional video which can be very versatile and applied where diagrams, explanations and step by step applications will add value to new information and where demonstrations on how the new information is applied. There are also the very popular YouTube style of step by step videos explaining how to do something where someone records themselves walking through the activity in a real life application.
Videos can be added, deleted or updated at anytime.
